Possible Other Camp

TBD

Mentoring and teaching youth ethical hunting for the taking of wildlife on public and private land. Our mentors will advise you on the proper care of your animals in the field, transportation of harvested animals, and advise you on wild game processing and taxidermists in the area.

Camps are family inclusive; you don't need a tag unless you plan to hunt. Our camps teach children and their families the camaraderie that all hunters share in the field. They will learn to track, glass, and recover their harvested animal.

All youth registered for the camp will be entered into a drawing for prizes; binoculars, rifles, camp kits, etc.

Junior Javalina Camp January 2024

Thank you to all who came out and supported us at our Junior javalina camp January 25th – 28th, 2024.  Thank you to all of our sponsors and participants hope to see you at the next camp!

Junior Deer Camp October 2023

Thank you to all who came out and supported us at our Junior deer camp October 12th through the 15th of 2023. We had 12 registered youths with tags participating in this camp and a few younger than hunting age there for the experience.  Out of thirteen youth with tags, eight came back with deer!  Some of our youth were brand new to hunting this year, and some have been with us for years.  We are very proud of our youth and the skills they are learning.  Overall we had 41 participants who attended our camp

Saturday night after hunting participants took time to learn a few things; Tiffany of SCI showed everyone how to collect Mule deer lymph nodes for AZGF and why we do it. After that our president, Clyde, took time to show youth how to score their Mule deer based on rack size. At dinner time everyone was able to join in for a great chicken dinner donated by our generous sponsors at Sonoita Cafe!

After dinner we raffled off a rifle, binoculars, and a range finder as well as other smaller raffle prizes all donated by Tom Ditsch. Thank you for your generous donations!

We thank you all for your support at our junior Mule deer camp and look forward to increasing the number of participants in the coming years!
